Many believe that atheists don’t believe in miracle and I guess the fact that they so exclaim every chance they get, it is not hard to accept that it is true. An atheist miracle happened recently, however, and even though it did not receive widespread coverage by the popular media at least one website has written about it.

What is the miracle?

A man from Northern England and more specifically the town of Huddlesfield, saw an image of the Big Bang imprinted on his morning toast. The Big Bang theory describes how the world (actually, the entire universe) started with a huge explosion from a single point in time and space. The image on the man’s toast is an exact representation of the universe moments after the explosion occurred.

“I was just about to spread the butter when I noticed a fairly typical small hole in the bread surrounded by a burnt black ring. However the direction and splatter patterns of the crumbs as well as the changing shades emanating outwards from this black hole were very clearly similar to the chaotic-dynamic non-linear patterns that one would expect following the Big Bang”. “It’s the beginning of the world” he added excitedly.

What a miracle! I hope he sells his toast on eBay for a considerable price because it is not every day that one witnesses something as incredible as this. Atheists all over the world are overjoyed over this event and are now making toast eating a part of their daily breakfast.

Read more, Atheist sees image of Big Bang in Piece of Toast.

The video below shows Oxford professor Richard Dawkins summarizing his very popular book The God Delusion. In his book, Dawkins uses reason to show that belief in a God (any God but his focus is mostly on the God of the Abrahamic religions) makes little sense since there is no evidence to support the hypothesis that our universe was created and is continuously controlled by such an intelligence that always has been and always will be. There are two paths to becoming an atheist: one is to read the Bible and the other is to read The God Delusion.

I finally watched the new Rambo movie last night. The movie was unfortunately just plain terrible and mostly a waste of time and money. That said, there is at least a few things that I have learned from it and surprisingly it is about Christians.

So, what lessons can we learn about Christians from watching the new Rambo movie?

First of all, Christians are complete and total idiots and there is a dime a dozen actors in Hollywood who can play one. They (the Christina, not the actors) insist that they are always correct and their requests should be always satisfied simply because of their illusion that their actions are guided by God. At the end of the day, they are likely to get into a lot of trouble simply because of their ignorance.

Another thing that we can learn from Rambo about Christians is that organized religion has far too much money. And they are not very responsible about how they spent said moneys. In fact, I would say that they misuse their money to try and keep more people trapped in the pit of ignorance created by their archaic beliefs.

Finally, it is impossible to convince a Christian that he is wrong even in the presence of strong evidence because of the massive bubble of ignorance within which they live. Often, a group of Christians will include a very attractive blond who will be completely turned off and ignore the religious males of the group but easily fall in love with the tough sinner guy who does everything opposite her sacred beliefs; examples include beating the shit out of someone or just killing a shit load of others who don’t every seem to learn how to aim a gun.

At the end of the day, Christians are some of the biggest idiots that have ever inhabited this planet not to be outdone by other religious morons of course. Ignoring the consequences of the actions to the real people who live in the real world, they will get themselves into more trouble that they can handle and in the end make the situation much worst than it was before their arrival. But as long as a heroes such as Rambo exist there is nothing to worry about because the world will continue to be safe.

And that is what I learned about Christians from watching the movie Rambo!

When your most sacred book tells the story of a father who tried to sacrifice his own son in order to please his God, then one should not be surprised that a man in Texas murdered, sliced and cooked his girlfriend under the idea that this was an instruction from God. The gruesome story details are all explained in a CNN article with the title, “Cop: Suspect says God made him kill, cook girlfriend.” In the meantime, the Pope is telling the world that us Atheists are evil because without a belief in an imaginary super-being we can have no morals. While at the same time, the church is teaching the worst morals on Earth resulting in terrible crimes such as the one noted in the article. At the end of the day, nobody has ever committed a crime in the name of Atheism but many have in the name of God.

National Geographic has published the following graph showing the acceptance of Darwin’s theory of evolution in western countries. The graph was generated using data from 2005. Sadly, the United States which is one of the most powerful (if not the most powerful) nation on this planet rates second last barely above Turkey. In the US, only about 40% of the population accepts the theory of evolution. Most everyone else thinks that the world was created 6000 years ago in a week according to the will of some supernatural being the existence of which is supported by zero evidence.

This chart depicts the public acceptance of evolution theory in 34 countries in 2005. Adults were asked to respond to the statement: “Human beings, as we know them, developed from earlier species of animals.”
