There used to be a day when Internet Explorer ruled the online world. Of course, this is still a popular web browser, but it has lost a large portion of users to Firefox. When it comes down to it, there are many reasons that Firefox is the best browser on the market. While this is only a matter of opinion, there are many people who share this feeling.

For many, one of the biggest benefits of Firefox is its ability to successful block pop-ups. As an internet user, you are probably well aware of how annoying this can become. With Internet Explorer you need an additional program to block pop-ups; this is not the case with Firefox.

Additionally, Firefox makes it easy to open more than one tab on one window. In other words, you do not need a different window for each website that you want to view; you can simply use tabs. While Internet Explorer is moving in this direction, they have yet to master the tabs feature.

Finally, you do not have to be a computer expert to install Firefox. The setup is easy, and as long as you can follow on screen prompts, you will have the Firefox browser downloaded and ready to go in no time at all.

All in all, Firefox has a lot to offer. When you add top of the line security features to the benefits above, there is no wondering why Firefox is closing in on Internet Explorer as the most commonly used web browser.
