Apartment renting in Sydney

So, I finally made my way to Sydney for a brief stint working here. Sydney is a beautiful city and even though the weather at the moment is not the best, i.e., it has been raining for the last few days and more rain is expected throughout the week, this post is about my first impressions with renting an apartment in Sydney.
Like any other modern city, Sydney’s apartments are well designed. But like everything else here, renting a good apartment will cost you. If you want a place situated in the Sydney CBD and it is in a newer building with a nice kitchen (Blanco sinks, granite tops, new appliances, etc.) expect to pay anywhere between $1200 to $1400 per month. And that is for a small studio. You can get something much cheaper further away from the city but it is likely to be an older building in a rougher area (and people here can be pretty rough from what I gathered so far.)
So, if you plan to move to Sydney, then make sure that you can afford to live here. It can be very expensive.
