I’m getting older and it shows

I was looking in the mirror the other day and it hit me. I am getting old and it shows. It used to be that I could count the number of white hair on my head but now their numbers have increased to the point that such an endeavor would be as pointless as trying to count the stars visible in the night sky. Same thing about the wrinkles on my face. For a second I started thinking that I should color my hair and start using a wrinkle cream to hide my age (in a moment of weakness, I even went online looking for wrinkle cream reviews.) Then rationality kicked in.
Aging is part of life. There is no shame in getting older. We cannot be teenagers forever. In fact, white hair and wrinkles show that I am a bit older and wiser. Let women worry about their looks. I’m glad that I am getting older and my face shows it. It is the circle of life and I am part of it just like everybody else. No need to spend the remaining years of my life worrying about things that I have no control over.
