Politics and global warming

By Beowulf • Feb 25th, 2008 • Category: Environment

When it comes to politics, there are many commonly discussed themes. Believe it or not, global warming and the environment are working there way into the political scene more and more. The fact of the matter is that people want to know what is happening with the environment, and of course, what kind of changes can be made to control this problem.

It is safe to say the upcoming presidential debates will touch on the topic of global warming from time to time. It may not be the most discussed topic during these debates, but it is important to know what each candidate has in mind. Obviously, somebody who is not going to look into ways to protect the environment is not going to be a good leader for the United States. Remember, the decisions that are made today are going to determine what the future holds. If the new president is not concerned with controlling global warming, it will be at least another four years of the same.

While politics is not based around the environment, it is a sticking point for many people. Each and every presidential candidate has a plan for how they are going to deal with the deterioration of the environment. The question is: which one has the best plan for the future? Once you answer this question, you will want to keep it in mind when voting time rolls around.
