And now we take 5 for a little holiday humor. Mostly for those who think that December 25th is celebrated because it actually is Jesus’ birth date. Newsflash for the religious right. This particular holiday is actually a pagan holiday to celebrate the winter solicit. It is the winter festival known as Yule and it was celebrated well before Christianity took over the civilized world. What we know today as the Christmas tree is borrowed from this pagan holiday. Have you never wondered what does a tree have to do with the birth of Jesus, the alleged son of God? A bit of critical thinking never hurt anyone. And in case that you are wondering, I did enjoy a turkey dinner with my family today; I just did not delude myself about the cause of this nice get together and dinner.
