Who are you Voting for?
By Beowulf • Dec 21st, 2007 • Category: PoliticsAs you probably know, asking somebody who they are voting for is not “the right thing to do.” But with that being said, sometimes this needs to be done anyway. When it comes down to it, some people will never cast a vote or pay attention to politics unless they are questioned in this way. Of course, if you ask somebody this question you can be pretty sure that they are not going to answer. But at the very least, hopefully they will begin to think about this topic.
All in all, it is nobody’s business who you vote for. After all, you are an American and that gives you the right to vote for whoever you feel is the best fit for the job. Even if nobody else agrees with you, you still have the right to say what you feel. If you feel that who you vote for is not that big of a secret, you may very well want to share your information with others. When it comes down to it, discussing politics can be both informative and exciting.
With the presidential election coming up in 2008, it is important for Americans to begin to think about who they are going to vote for. You may change your mind several times between now and November 2008, and again, that is your right. But if you do not have any idea of what you are doing, you may end up voting on a whim; and that is not good for anybody.
Overall, if somebody asks you who you are voting for, only answer if you feel comfortable doing so. If you do not answer, you can still think this over in your mind so that you are prepared when the time comes.
