Christopher Hitchens appeared on MSNBC’s Morning Joe to promote his new book “The Portable Atheist” and at the same time express his opinion ( as it was asked of him, of course) about the growing atheist movement in the US and the role of religion in US politics. He also briefly discussed his view of the absurdity of religious beliefs triggered by the recent event regarding the UK teacher in Sudan who was jailed for allowing her students to name a teddy bear Muhammad. During the interview, Hitchens was entertaining and to the point as usual. Interesting that he believes an atheist may one day once again be elected President of the United States.
