Barry Bonds hits home run number 756
By Alpha • Aug 9th, 2007 • Category: SportsGiants slugger Barry Bonds is now the all time home run king after hitting home run number 756 during a game against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday night. He has now hit more home runs that Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth who are in second and third place respectively. Previously, Aaron held the number one spot for 33 years.
Whether Bonds achieved this goal because of steroid use or pure athleticism will always be a point of argument; I think it will be naïve to assume that he has not used some form of sports supplement but that is necessary because it is obvious that this practice is common throughout the league. Officially, he is now the Major League Baseball player with the most home runs ever hit and none can take this away from him. Here is a video showing Barry Bonds achieving this historic milestone.
