Outsource your life on DoMyStuff.com

DoMyStuff logoThanks to the magic of the Internet, outsourcing is no longer just for large corporations looking to save a buck or two. DoMyStuff.com is an auction website for services that is a dream come true for busy professionals or just plain lazy couch potatoes. It launched 3 months ago with the slogan “Outsource your life.” The site lets North Americans post tasks and then choose from the respondents who bid on them in a format similar to eBay’s. While many people are looking for someone to lend a hand with traditional chores, like dog-walking or housecleaning, others want help with more unusual tasks. For example, someone in Los Angeles needs a person to help clean his mother’s house and throw out her old things. Another person from Fort Worth, TN, is asking for someone to teach him how to swim with the butterfly stroke; our friends declares,

I have tried many times, but never have gotten the hang of this stroke. I need someone that knows how to teach it in a progressive manner. I am middle aged and can swim moderately well in the other 3 primary strokes. I normally swim 1200 years three days a week.

So who are the people who bid on these tasks?

The Assistants you’ll find on DoMyStuff.com are individuals and businesses located near you who compete by bidding to run your errands. This bidding system ensures that you find the best people to do your stuff at the lowest price.

According to the founders, DoMyStuff has about 15,000 registered user and more than 200 active tasks at any given time. As it happens, most registered users are those looking to outsource some daily taks while providers are more scarce. In other words, if you are in need of making some pocket money quickly, then it probably is not a bad idea to check DoMyStuff for a chore that you can do for someone else.
