Kids’ chores go online with PAYjr

Having a hard time getting you kids to do their chores? Do they always seem to be online on their computer, talking on their cell phone or text messaging? Do you want to teach them how to handle money? If you answered yes to any of these questions then consider using the new PAYjr online service.
The PAYjr chore and allowance system allows parents to assign chores, a time-frame and rewards for their completion. Kids are reminded of their chores via email or text messaging. All transactions are neatly stored in a database easily accessible via a Web interface. Chore charts are also printable for easy offline access.
The founders of PAYjr believe that their system can help parents teach their pupils how to become responsible adults. It creates an environment that shows young kids the connection between doing work and getting compensated for it financially. It also teaches them how to manage money. This service is not meant as a substitute for face to face communication but it can be used to facilitate it.
Some parents will find the PAYjr service useful while others superfluous. I think that it is worth giving it a try for a couple of months before making a decision for or against it. The times have changed and as technology is becoming a much bigger part of our daily lives, the use of services such as PAYjr are unavoidable and there is really nothing wrong with using it.
