Turn Google to your free iTunes store

There is lots of data online and Google has invested lots of money to build an infrastructure that will index all of it. In the process, Google has become more than just a search engine for finding recipes, long lost friends, jokes and information about bizarre subject matter. Google can also function as your personal iTunes sampler allowing you to find and download music. Most of this music is made available without the written permission of the copyright holders and as such it is considered illegal (or a copyright violation to be more exact) to share it. However, if you care to sample an album before you decide to make the trip to your local music store or iTunes to make an informed purchase then Google is your friend.
You can find mp3 music using a special search string in Google. Go to Google.com and type the following in the search box,
intitle:”index of” mp3 Shakira
Don’t forget to include the quotation marks. Google will return a list of sites that have mp3 files with the word “Shakira” appearing in the title string. You can replace the latter word with the name of the artist or song that you are looking for.
Once again, please use this facility for sampling music only; once you have listened to the song and have decided on whether you will buy it or not, immediately delete the file from your hard drive. If you like the song, then hurry down to your local music store and purchase the album hence helping support the artist.
