A study in the European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Reproductive Biology reveals that middle-aged British women are less interested in sex than their French and German counterparts. For the study, researchers interviewed 1,800 women in six European countries and found that 90% of French and 81% of German women thought sex was an important part of life while they were also the healthiest suffering less from depression and headaches.

French women are the most sexually active and consider it part of living a good life. They are also interested in keeping attractive so that their mates don’t go looking elsewhere. British women blame their lack of sexual interest in the middle-age on their men who turn into unattractive slobs after years of alcohol drinking.

Dr. Rossella Nappi, of the Center for Reproductive Medicine at the University of Pavia, who led the study said, “Sexuality is a complex interplay among biological, psychological and social aspects. I was surprised at the results from the UK. Maybe in the UK a woman feels a woman, independently from being a sexual object. Maybe that is why they complain more and we complain less.”

One thing is for sure. If you are interested in having an active sex life with your spouse after the honeymoon is over then better stay in good shape and marry anything but British. It sounds like French women should be a man’s first choice.
