Health Canada has verified the claims made by Cold-FX Edmonton-based manufacturer CV Technologies that the off-the-counter flu medication can boost the immune system to help fight colds and flu. Health Canada’s Natural Health Products Directorate reviewed research on Cold-FX to confirm that the product was safe and did what the company claimed it could do.

That federal announcement enables CV Technologies to claim that Cold-FX “helps reduce the frequency, severity and duration of cold and flu symptoms by boosting the immune system.”

During its 10-year history, the product has undergone 7 clinical trials and it is currently promoted by some high profile people such as Canadian hockey expert and coach Don Cherry, Olympian Clara Hughes, the National Hockey League and the league’s players’ association.

The product became available in the U.S. last fall. If you want to boost your immune system to fight off the fly virus for which no cure exist today, then head over to your local pharmacy and pick up some Cold-FX tablets. The big boys say that you can’t go wrong with it!
