Internet porn is all pervasive

The Web gives and it takes away. A new study to be published in the journal of Pediatrics found that 42 percent of Internet user aged 10 to 17 had seen online porn over the past year, and two-thirds of that exposure was unwanted. “It’s beyond the wild west out there. You have really taken away the age of innocence,” pediatrician Dr. Michael Wasserman told the Associated Press. As for taking away, identity theft-that favorite pastime of online scammers-continues at an alarming rate. A study by Javelin Strategy and Research found that while the situation is improving, identity fraud cost Americans an estimated US$49.3 billion last year.
